TERMS OF SERVICE

Our Services

Whilst we try to accommodate all client requests our services are limited to the
following and differ from client to client:

  • Accounts Payable: Data Entry, Filing, Reconcile payments, Liaise with creditors where required, Prepare payments for management’s approval, Provide updated reports to management.
  • Accounts Receivable: Data Entry, Invoicing, Filing, Reconcile payments, Liaise with debtors where required, Provide updated reports to management.
  • Payroll: Data entry, Filing, Process payroll through accounting software as per timesheets provided, Load payments into bank for Managements approval, Liaise with employees, Provide payroll reports.
  • Superannuation: Calculate amounts payable to employees, Register employer with Relevant Super Funds, Process Superannuation Guarantee forms for processing, Prepare payments for management’s approval.
  • Bank: Data Entry, Filing, Reconcile relevant Bank/Credit Card/Paypal/Cash accounts.
  • Lodgements: Lodgement of Business Activity Statement, Instalment Activity Statement, Pay As You Go Annual Payment Summary Statement, Taxable Payments Annual Report, Pay As You Go Instalment Statement, ASIC Lodgements.
  • Registrations: Australian Business Number, Goods and Services Tax, Tax File Number, Fuel Tax Credits, Wine Equalisation Tax, Fringe Benefits Tax, Business Name, Company Registration, Trust Set Up.
  • Taxation: Income Tax Returns for Individuals, Sole Traders, Partnerships, Companies, Trusts, Liaising with the Australian Taxation Office.

Any other services which fall outside the boundaries of our list above need to be requested separately in writing. Consideration is given on a case by case basis with risk aversion being the primary evaluating factor.

 

Terms of Trade

Unless otherwise agreed to credit terms are offered by Darcy Bookkeeping & Business Services on a basis of each invoice being paid 7 days from the date of issue via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), Cheque, or Credit Card.

Where an invoice remains outstanding 21 days beyond the due date Darcy Bookkeeping & Business Services reserves the right to add a $25.00 administration fee on the overdue balance. Furthermore we reserve the right to charge a monthly interest rate of 5% on the overdue balance.

In the event where your overdue account is referred to a collection agency and/or law firm, you will be liable for all costs which would be incurred as if the debt is collected in full, including legal demand costs.

 

Our Responsibility To You

In conducting this engagement, any information acquired by us in the course of the engagement is subject to strict confidentiality requirements. That information will not be disclosed by us to other parties except as required or allowed for by law, or with the clients express consent. We understand that the information our clients give us access to is privileged and as such handle it with the utmost sensitivity and care.

In fulfilling the scope of the engagement all our representatives are committed to conducting themselves in a professional manner. We are obligated and warrant that we will carry out the scope of the engagement with the utmost care and diligence. If at any point in time a fault in the work specifically carried out by us is identified it will be rectified in a reasonable time frame and at our own expense.

All documentation and intellectual property created for the purpose of carrying out the engagement will remain the property of the client unless expressed as permissible by the client.

 

Your Responsibility to Us

In order for us to provide the best possible service and results for our clients we require the client’s co-operation in order to do so.

Throughout the course of our engagement we will require information in order to complete the services requested by our clients, as such we expect our requests for information whether internal or external of the client will be met in a timely and considerate manner so we are able to achieve the best results for each of our clients. In addition to this we rely on our clients to provide accurate information to complete the scope of the services required, as such we expect all information provided to us by the client is totally complete and accurate.

You agree to not enter into any arrangement nor engage any of the contractors or staff provided by Darcy Bookkeeping & Business Services who have directly or indirectly provided services to your business or businesses. This non-engagement clause rmeains in place for a period of at least 1 year after the conclusion of the business relationship between Darcy Bookkeeping & Business Services and your business or businesses. Where you are found to be in breach of this non-engagement clause you agree to make financial reparations to Darcy Bookkeeping & Business Services equalling the amount of fees charged by Darcy Bookkeeping & Business Services to your business or busniesses spanning the last 12 months of the contract without any limitation.

Limitations and Liability

Throughout the period of engagement Darcy Bookkeeping & Business Services and its representatives do not accept any responsibility for the day to day running of the business. Nor at any point does it or its representatives intentionally or unintentionally intend to act outside of the general scope of services listed under the services section of our service terms. Lastly, Darcy Bookkeeping & Business Services and it’s representatives do not accept any responsibility or liability for any decisions made or advice that a client’s directors or managers act on which may lead to any loss for you as the client, or remedial action taken against the you as the client by any party.

Darcy Bookkeeping & Business Services and its representatives aim to provide the highest level of service. Where errors in our work are identified we will rectify these errors at no cost to you. You as a client agree to make us aware of any errors which you have identified in order for us to rectify these errors ourselves and not engage a third party bookkeeper or accountant to redo or correct work previously performed by us. Where you do engage a third party bookkeeper or accountant to redo work previously completed by Darcy Bookkeeping & Business Services you do so at your own cost and absolve Darcy Bookkeeping & Business Services of any liability, loss or claim that would arise from the outcome of redoing our work.
